MBC is going through a process where we are transitioning our customers to align with the Modern Workplace. We are looking for a Microsoft Specialist that has 5-7 years of experience working in a Managed Services environment with a focus on Implementing M365 as well as Windows Servers both on-premises and in the cloud. This person must have knowledge of all areas of a client infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft Technologies (Microsoft Exchange On-premises and with Microsoft 365 Applications (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Azure AD, etc). The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, time management skills, and enjoy working with people.
This role is based out of our Richmond Hill office but travel to client sites around the GTA will be required from time to time. During the pandemic, this will be primarily a remote role.
Responsibilities
- Work on the Professional Services Team to complete projects according to our deadlines
- Ensure you implement all tasks that are in scope and request approval for any out-of-scope elements
- Update documentation for all projects for appropriate handoff to the service desk
- Maintain up to date time entries for tasks assigned
- Escalate any issues and risks through MBCs project processes
- Creating and maintaining needed SOPs.
- Ensure work aligns with MBCs Security First focus and delivering Delightful IT to our clients
- Helping team members with expertise, troubleshooting and training as needed
- Attending client calls for projects
Technical Skills
- Understanding of and experience with a Remote Monitoring Platform N-Central
- Experience deploying and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2008 to 2022
- Extensive experience deploying and migrating clients to Microsoft 365 - all apps (Exchange online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Teams & Teams Voice)
- Experience deploying and managing Microsoft Exchange
- Experience deploying and managing Veeam Backup and Replication, Veeam Backup for M365, Microsoft Azure Recovery Services (MARS),
- Extensive experience deploying and managing Hyper-V and VMWare environments
- Basic experience deploying and managing Switches and Firewalls
- Experience in deploying and managing Microsoft Remote Desktop Services farms
- Experience in deploying and managing multi-site Microsoft Technologies such as Active Directory, DFS, and Hyper,V Replication
- Experience in deploying and managing storage devices such as SAN, DAS and NAS
- Good understanding of L3 Routing, L2 VLANs, and VPN technologies
- Experience in Disaster Recovery planning in private and public cloud
- Experience in Private Cloud/Data Center environments
- Experience migrating into the public cloud (Azure, etc)
- Experience working in Hybrid Cloud Environments, where clients utilize on-premises infrastructure along with Private and Public Cloud.
